New Orleans Pharmacy Museum

Weddings at the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum offer a distinctive, old-world setting in the heart of the French Quarter. The intimate brick courtyard, strung with lights and framed by wrought iron balconies, creates a romantic backdrop for ceremonies and receptions, while the historic apothecary interiors add a layer of character and storytelling you won’t find in traditional venues. Ideal for smaller, atmospheric celebrations, it’s a perfect fit for couples wanting something a bit unexpected, rich in history, and unmistakably New Orleans.

Its French Quarter courtyard is a perfect setup for wedding ceremonies. Like most courtyards in the Quarter, the tall surrounding buildings create a natural shade, which gives you that soft, even light that works really well for photos.

The space around the fountain in the back is great for portraits, and the interior has all that unique, slightly quirky pharmacy character that makes it feel different from any other venue in the city.

And being right in the heart of the French Quarter opens up a ton of options for portraits. Spots like Exchange Place—one of my go-to alleyways—are perfect for group shots and couple portraits.

This venue is especially ideal for ceremonies and smaller, more intimate receptions. Because of that, a lot of couples use it as their ceremony space and then move to another location in the French Quarter for the reception.
