French Quarter Wedding at the Pharmacy Museum

As a New Orleans photographer, I’ve had plenty of cool surprises, but this one made the day even more special. When I arrived at the Omni Royal Hotel for wedding prep, I was pleasantly shocked to find two childhood friends in her wedding party! It was a great time catching up with them while capturing prep photos and wedding details.

Once the bride was ready, we headed to Pirate’s Alley for a memorable first look with the groom. The French Quarter served as the perfect backdrop for portraits. We then made our way to the historic Pharmacy Museum, where their heartfelt ceremony was conducted by a friend of the couple. The unique and intimate setting of the Pharmacy Museum made for some incredible moments and photos.

After the ceremony, the couple led a fun second line through the streets, giving the museum time to flip its space into a reception area. The reception kicked off with a touching first dance, followed by the cutting of a truly special cake—a cheesecake made from wheels of cheese by St. James Cheese! The rest of the night was filled with dancing, laughter, and the lively atmosphere that only a New Orleans wedding can bring.

This wedding was a beautiful blend of personal connections, unique venues, and all the classic elements of a true NOLA wedding experience. It was an honor to be part of such an unforgettable day. As a New Orleans wedding photographer, these moments are what make my job so rewarding.
