Wedding Photography at
Hotel Peter and Paul
Weddings at the Hotel Peter and Paul offer a truly distinctive setting, blending historic architecture with a refined, design-forward finish. Set in the Marigny, this restored church, schoolhouse, convent, and rectory create a collection of unique spaces—from the dramatic former church for ceremonies to intimate courtyards and characterful reception areas. It’s an ideal choice for couples wanting a wedding that feels atmospheric, stylish, and a little bit different, with a strong sense of place that’s unmistakably New Orleans.

Hotel Peter and Paul is a gorgeous venue. It has that boutique feel that works really well for weddings in New Orleans. As a New Orleans wedding photographer, it’s one of those spaces that gives you a lot of variety in a small footprint.
The hotel itself is perfect for pre-ceremony portraits. On the third floor there’s a lobby with a stage, high ceilings, and large windows that let in beautiful natural light. It’s one of the better indoor portrait spots I’ve worked in for New Orleans weddings—simple, clean, and really versatile depending on the time of day.
The church space is stunning. Tall, dramatic, and full of character. The lighting in there can be a bit challenging though, so I typically lean on off-camera flash for both ceremonies and receptions. It gives the images a more controlled, almost spotlight feel that works really well in that environment and fits my approach to New Orleans wedding photography.
Overall, it’s a space that really rewards thoughtful lighting and intentional shooting. But when it’s done right, it’s one of the most visually striking venues in the city.
